Balls don't drop.
The testicles are in your scrotum from birth to death.
'Balls dropping' refers (i believe) to a sudden increase of size in testicles, and the testicles hang lower.
This can happen anywhere in puberty. (Usually 12-15, but 15+ is still OK)

Balls dont really drop. What people are confusing this with is the rapid growth of the testicles, which will make your entire sack grow and hang lower. Your testicles, however, hang in the same position for your entire life.

At BIRTH the testicles drop... If i'm wrong plz tell me. But everyone starts out as a female, (nipples explanation), But then The testicles drop, CEASING the production of ovaries. And when a doctor feels your testicles and tells you to cough... thats him seeing where your testicles are.. I BELIEVE....

Just a kidd lookin to lend a helping hand. This site helped me mature, lookin to return the favor.

Technically your balls do drop, but that's before you are born. I believe they drop from the kidneys or something like that. Some people don't have both drop and those are undescended testes.

No actually they never drop. They are inside the fetus when the baby is about 4 months, They never actually descend. If the child is a male the gentails grow on the outside but if they are female they stay in the abdomen. Plus the female genetials are not level with the kidneys the kidneys are about 3-4 cubic inches above the genetials.

Um research would help. We do not start off as females we are already male and female when your born (to long to explain) and when a doctor feels your testicles doesn't that mean he already knows where they are? But everyone else is right about your balls dropping.

Your balls drop when your still in the womb. Sometimes, it can drop 2-3 months after birth, but dis is rare. Doctors know when this happens from the sac and from the penis.

When your balls drop, it just when the testes hang lower.

They are in the scrotum to begin with. The scrotum in not like a bag and when the child is in the womb they drop them in the bag and pull the strings. They both are there when the baby is in the womb.

Fact check:

The testicles develop in the lower abdomen and descend ("drop") into the scrotum before birth. Things develop during those 9 months at different rates and sometimes in different places, but by birth, everything is where it should be. And the testicles stay in the scrotum for life, they do not go back into the body, and they don't 'drop' anywhere, anytime.

Undescended testicle(s) sometimes occur when the developed testicle(s) fail to move down the inguinal canal into the scrotum. At birth, the doctor check for this, and if the testicles aren't secured in the scrotum, there's a simple operation that pulls it down.

If a testicle remains undiscovered in the abdomen, it eventually 'dies', b/c it's too warm up there, and it's not supposed to be there in the first place, and it is removed.

You only need one testicle, it makes all the guy stuff you need to be a guy and make other little guys when the time is right. For appearance reasons, a lot of guys with one testicle get an artificial one implanted so it looks and feels 'normal'.

As an FYI, a 'hernia' occurs when a loop of bowel (intestine) pushes thru the inguinal canal and ends up in the scrotum. This occurs b/c the opening that allows the passage of the testicle into the scrotum heals, covers over, but remains weaker, which makes sense.

I agree with Gavin here.

The testicles do drop from your body shortly after birth. If the opening where the testicles drop from doesn't close it is called a hiatal hernia.

So the term testicle dropping is actually the scrotum growing and allowing the testicles to hang lower to keep your body heat from damaging your sperm.
